Sibirien-Expedition 2005

Eskimo Pro-Team members Sebastian Gruendler and Jens Reinhold are off once again on an Expedition. Together with Stephan Huber and Viktor Klaus they will set off for the Kodar mountains which lie 500 kilometres to the north east of the Baikal Sea. Many hidden gems and first descents await them such as the Sygygkta River. To reach the upper Sygygkta they will first have to negotiate "by fair means" the 2700 meter high "Medvezhii Pass" carrying all their equipment and supplies for the duration of the expedition. The tributaries of the Sygygkta, which are only accessible on foot, will be the main focus of the expedition in the weeks to come. Zusammen mit Stephan Huber und Viktor Klaus geht es diesen Juli ins Kodargebirge. Noch einmal 500 Kilometer weiter nordöstlich des Baikalsees warten noch einige Flussperlen auf ihre Erstbefahrung. Die vier Paddler wollen dieses Mal "by fair means" ihre Boote und die gesamte Ausrüstung für 20 Tage über den Medvezhii Pass auf 2700 Meter Höhe bis zum Oberlauf der Sygygkta schleppen. Deren Nebenbäche, die sich die Jungs alle mühsam erlaufen müssen, stehen dann in den nächsten Wochen im Fokus der Expedition.
