sind wieder in der zivilisation, nebenbaeche leider alle through the roof sprich bombenhochwasser, am letzten (kultuschnaja) haben wir die boote 7 km hochgeschleppt, ueber die nacht hat sich der wasserstand fast verdoppelt, die geschatzten 100-150 kubik waren ein bisschen viel fuer die klamm, in der die russen bei vielleicht 10 unterwegs waren - wenn ueberhaupt.
spaeter im jahr evt mehr glueck...
ozero oron in einem halben tag, dann zweieinhalb verdammt lange tage auf dem vitim mit einer stromschnelle, die jens und mich beinahe noch ein bisschen behalten haette (orinocomaessig oder wie wir uns das so vorgestellt haben) auf jeden fall so ca. 2000 kubik, riesenwalze...
seit heute frueh nach dirtroad shuttle und bameisenbahnfahrt wieder in severobaikalsk, wollen in irkutsk noch was klarmachen...

Now we are back in civilisation and unfortunately the tributaries were all through the roof on water levels. The last river, The Kultuschnaja, we carried the kayaks and equipment 7 km up the river to discover the next day that it had swollen to 100-155 cubic meters instead of the 10 cubic meters which we expected. Perhaps it can be run later in the year.
Ozero Oron was run in half a day and then on to the Vitim for two and a half hard days of paddling. The sheer speed of the water and the size of the stoppers brought the Orinoco to mind. It is our guess that it was running at 2000 cubic meters.
We took a shuttle and single track train to Sevrobaikalsk and then on to Irkutst to plan the next part of the expedition.
